

Nancy Ellington Ritter 62, passed away surrounded by her sisters, niece and father on December 12, 2022. She was born on July 20th, 1960 in Grandview Missouri and lived in Missouri, Arizona and Colorado before settling in Tampa in 1970. She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Ellington and an entire brood of dogs that she treated like the children, she never had.
Nancy was a 1979 graduate of Hillsborough High School and worked numerous jobs through the years with two of her favorites being The Home Depot for many years and AAA. She loved to watch her favorite shows, go to the beach and any event that involved getting together with her family or friends.
She is survived by her precious dog Choo Choo, her father John Thomas Ellington, sisters Kathy Schott, Joyce Taylor (Lankford), and Janice Ellington, her brothers, Daniel Ellington, Michael Ellington, Roy Ellington (Patricia) and Christopher Ellington. She is also survived by her husband Jeffrey Ritter.
Nancy dearly loved her nieces and nephews, John Cathcart (Lexi), Rebecca Whitcomb (David), John Ellington (Linda), Timothy Ellington, James Ellington, Sarah Ellington, Joshua Ellington, Scott Ellington, Matthew Ellington, Carman Ellington Roach (Jason), Amanda Ellington, Susan Ellington, Tray Taylor (Ilene), Chadwick Taylor (Alison), Grant Taylor (Mika), Adam Taylor, Jessica Kirk, Jericho Kirk and Jack Kirk and 15 great nieces and nephews.
Nancy’s family would like to thank LifePath Hospice for all their love and support at the end of her days.
Her services will be held at Blount & Curry/ Garden of Memories, 4207 E Lake Ave, Tampa 33610 on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 with a Public Viewing at noon, a service at 1PM and graveside at 2PM.
