It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of Norma V. Lopez, 94, of Tampa, who passed away on September 22, 2026. She was born on March 9, 1932 to parents Francisco Vidal (Paco) and Covadonga Cueto Vidal.
She was predeceased by her husband, Servando Lopez Jr. She is survived by her three sons, Servando Lopez, Steve Lopez (Lucy) and Frank Lopez (Robin), many grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins and friends that she held close to her heart.
Norma was a graduate of JefFerson high school where she was the assistant editor of the Jefferson newspaper, in the honor Society, and was voted by her peers, best personality, and most likely to succeed. She was also the president of the women’s auxiliary of West Tampa Little League.
She retired from Hillsborough County school board and was named bilingual person of the year at Egypt Lake elementary school.
Norma will be remembered for her kindness and sense of humor. She was a woman of tremendous strength with a heart of gold. Her legacy reached far beyond her immediate family. She had many lifelong friends that meant the world to her. She will be missed here on earth, and will be welcomed with open arms in heaven.
