Ofelia Mora

Loving and devoted mother and wife Ofelia Mora, age 83, passed away peacefully at her home in Tampa, Florida on May 5th surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 7, 1942 in Cajamarca, Colombia.

Ofelia was defined by her devotion to family, friends, gardening and close gatherings. She was an amazing and nurturing mother, and the heart of her family. Her welcoming, kind and nurturing side was evident to all who knew her. She lived her life to the fullest in Colombia, Peru, Puerto Rico and Florida.

Ofelia is survived by her husband Carlos; her two daughters Elizabeth and Liliana; her grandchildren Alexander and Lucas; her sister María Urbina; her son-in-law Christian; and her nephews and nieces. She will be missed greatly by her family.

Her funeral will be held on May 11th at Garden of Memories, with visitation starting at 10:15 am, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 am, and then burial at 12:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Ofelia Mora’s memory, which is an organization she supported over the years.

Ofelia Mora, una madre y esposa amorosa y dedicada de 83 años, falleció pacíficamente en su hogar en Tampa, Florida, el 5 de mayo, rodeada de su amada familia. Nació el 7 de octubre de 1942 en Cajamarca, Colombia.

Ofelia se distinguió por su devoción a su familia, a sus amigos, a la jardinería y a las reuniones íntimas. Fue una madre extraordinaria y protectora, y el corazón de su familia. Su naturaleza acogedora, amable y afectuosa era evidente para todos los que la conocieron. Vivió su vida plenamente en Colombia, Perú, Puerto Rico y Florida.

A Ofelia le sobreviven su esposo, Carlos; sus dos hijas, Elizabeth y Liliana; sus nietos, Alexander y Lucas; su hermana, María Urbina; su yerno, Christian; y sus sobrinos. Su familia la extrañará profundamente.
