RAWLS, Oscar G., 85., of Tampa passed away on August 12, 2017. He was a longtime member of El Bethel Primitive Baptist Church and proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. Prior to retirement, Oscar worked for the Coca Cola Bottling Company in Tampa for 37 years. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 46 years, Sarah Nell Rawls. Oscar is survived by his wife of 5 ½ years, Barbara Rawls; daughters, Debbie Morris (Lewis), Susan Kirschner (Don), Nancy DeVirgilis (Nick); 6 grandchildren, Donnie Kirschner, Jonathan Kirschner, Jared DeVirgilis, Lee Morris, Abby DeVirgilis, Lily DeVirgilis and 5 great-grandchildren, Madison, Jason, Ella, Alana and Rhett. The famiy will receive friends on Friday, August 18, 2017 from 5-7pm at the Blount & Curry Funeral Home-Carrollwood Chapel, 3207 W. Bearss Ave., Tampa. A funeral service will be held 10am, Saturday, August 19, 2017 at El Bethel Primitive Baptist Church, 11605 N 51st St, Tampa, FL 33617 with entombment to follow at the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
