Hi! My name is Florie (Becker) Gold. I am the daughter of Dr. Norman Becker who was good friends with Dr. Paul Weissman (who we called Uncle Paul).  My dad met Paul in optometric school and they became good friends. My dad was on the quiet side and Uncle  Paul was anything but quiet!! Some  of our fondest childhood memories are when Uncle Paul would come visit my dad on Wednesdays (their mutual day off). He would walk into the house and immediately it would get loud & lively. He made us all laugh with his jokes & he loved to tease my Grandma Frances (my mom’s mom who spent alot of time with us). We all knew that Uncle Paul would do anything for us!! Great memories of a wonderful man! 

From August, 2019 until December, 2020 my husband and I lived next door to Paul at Discovery Village. We ate together a lot in the dining room until they had to close it due to COVID. I always enjoyed his company. He was so happy when his son took him out to eat so he could get some good food! I am so sorry to hear of his passing. Prayers for the family. Jane Condrey
