

Tillinghast, Polly, 69, of Tampa, passed away on September 8, 2014. Born in Houston, Texas, she relocated and grew up in Venezuela. Polly returned to the United States to Deland and graduated from Stetson University, married and spent a two year honeymoon in Germany and then settled in Tampa. She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Stuart; her dearest daughters, Susan Campbell of Tampa and Laura Hine and her husband Hank of St. Petersburg; her loving grandchildren, Sadie, Andrew, Stuart and Garrett and her grand dogs, Tampa and Lucy Belle. Polly volunteered with Girl Scouts where she proudly served for many years as a leader, trainer, camp director, and on the Board of Directors. She was a true Green Blood-always for the girls. Polly was an avid gardener, world traveler and loved pottery. She was an entrepreneur and founder of Computers Made Effective becoming fondly known as the Dragon Lady. She was a loving wife, mother,grandmother and friend who will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her. A celebration of Polly's life will be held 4:00pm, Thursday, September 11, 2014 at the Blount & Curry Funeral Home- Carrollwood Chapel, 3207 W. Bearss Avenue, Tampa.
