Peggy S. (Whitten) Diaz, 72, left our world in the early morning hours of August 19th with her husband of 49 plus years, Charles Diaz, by her side. Peggy was a wonderful, dedicated mother and an equally wonderful grandmother. She spread love to all who knew her through her generosity and unselfish actions, always putting others ahead of her. Those that knew her best could not help expressing the love that they felt for her upon hearing of her passing. Peggy never met a stranger, had a story for every occasion and true to her southern style, always had enough food made for an extra guest at the table.
She was a 1971 graduate of King High School, where she was a majorette and a member of the band. She was the owner of All The Details, a wedding planning business in Northern Virginia. One of her joys in life was being a wedding planner in the Washington, D.C area with all the historical venues available, and working with young women in one of the happiest times of their life.
She is survived by three children, Charles Jr, Cara Lomangino (Joe) and Christopher (Melissa), nine grandchildren, Madisyn, Morgan, Makenna, Amelia, Phoenix, Jason, Cadence, Thomas, Madelyn, and two great-grandchildren, Leo and Blakeley.
There will not be any funeral or memorial services, only a private viewing for immediate family. For those who wish to honor Peggy, you can make a donation in her name, to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
