Bearss, Phyllis Helen, Went to heaven on November 13th 2018, just days before her 100th birthday. Born Nov 26, 1918, in Fall River, MA. She moved to Tampa with her family in 1926. Graduated from Hillsborough High in 1935 and attended the University of Tampa. Always an active member in the community, she was a Past Regent of DeSoto Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution, Past Worthy Matron of the Order of Eastern Star, member of the 1918 Club and the Hillsborough High School Alumni Association.
In later years, after retiring as the registrar at Chamberlain High School, she and her husband owned and operated an adult mobile home park. She was proud to be a faithful and long-time member of Lake Magdalene United Methodist Church.
She was predeceased by her parents Carroll and Hazel Robbins and her husband Charles I. Bearss, two brothers William Robbins and Donald Robbins, a sister Margaret Robbins and an identical twin sister Dorothy Fisher. She is survived by a brother, Carroll Robbins, Jr. (Barbara), her sons, Charles C. Bearss (Cynthia), Robin M. Bearss (Cathi), her grandchildren, Charles A. Bearss (Erin), Clinton J. Bearss (Rayna), Cedrick W. Bearss (Sharifah), Pennie Collins, Jolene Lewis (Craig), Candice Wooten, her 15 great-grandchildren and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
