She was born on October 2, 1936 in Beaver Falls, PA. She was the daughter of the late James W. Weaver and M. Viola Weaver.
She was a 60 year resident of Tampa. She and her husband, the late Edward R. Mihalcin, and their two boys Bob (7) and Jim (5) moved from Aliquippa, PA in June 1966.
She graduated valedictorian from Beaver Falls high school in 1954. For college, she received a scholarship to Grove City College, but after her freshman year she decided it was too cold in the winter, so she went south to Bob Jones University, Greenville, SC where she graduated magna cum laude, with degrees in English and French. Later, in her academic career, she obtained a MA degree at USF in Adult Education. She was a 50 year member in the Phi Kappa Phi honor society that recognizes academic excellence.
In her adult working career, she taught elementary students at Lois Elementary (1966-1967), Tampa, Fl and then taught sophomore English, at Chamberlain High School for seven years. She then took the role as Secretary/Treasurer of her husband's company Heeco Protekto Boots, until his death in 2005. She then became the CEO of the company and ran the business until it 2018 for a total of 45 years.
She enjoyed helping other people. In 1992 she traveled to Guangdong, China for 8 weeks to help teach people English.
She was an excellent pianist and loved to play gospel music.
She made a profession of faith in Jesus Christ as a young child, and was a baptized (1985) member of the Bethel Temple Assembly of God.
She also loved traveling to far away places. China, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Israel, Columbia, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, and Mexico.

Surviving are his son Bob, and his wife Sandy Mihalcin. She has two grandchildren, Kelli and Leanne. And five great grandchildren, Mitch Jed, Riley, Todd, and Dean
