R. Jeanette Sealey

SEALEY, R. Jeanette, 90, of Tampa, passed away Sunday, June 21, 2026. She will be truly missed by everyone who knew her. Jeanette was born in Buford, GA and was married to LuRue Sealey for over 68 years – a true love story from the beginning.

Jeanette was an incredible wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her family and Church were everything to her. Jeanette is survived by her daughters Linda McRae (Herb) & Phyllis Tyree (Charlie), grandson John McRae (Melanie) and great grandchildren Samuel, Marleigh, Madelyn, Makenna & Maren and granddaughter Melinda McRae (Terry, fiancé). Jeanette survived her father John and mother Effie Lona Pass as well as her brother Doug and sister Naomi. Jeanette retired from USF’s English Dept. as a Staff Assistant for almost 35 years. And she continued to support our community working at the Hillsborough County Elections Office for over 10 years.

She was extremely gifted in many craft areas and it gave her pure joy to create items for her family and friends focusing on their interests. She never met a stranger and showed God’s love to everyone she knew. To know her was to love her!

The family will receive family and friends for Visitation Friday, July 17th between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. at Generations Church, 2602 S. Kings Avenue, Brandon, FL. Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the Church, followed by a Committal Service at Garden of Memories Cemetery, Chapel of Lights Mausoleum-E. Lake Avenue, Tampa, FL 33610, from 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to LifePath Hospice Sun City Center.
