After completing his education at St. Joseph's University and the University of Pennsylvania, Richard pursued a distinguished career in the Air Force, eventually attaining the rank of Colonel. Following his military service, he settled in Tampa, Florida, where he shared his knowledge and passion as a college professor of economics at various institutions.
Richard found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He cherished time spent with his beloved wife Kathleen, their children John and Gail, and his cherished grandchild Molly. Richard's love for travel, biking, and reading enriched his life and inspired those around him.
Survived by his loving family, Richard's legacy of intelligence, determination, and devotion will forever be remembered.
A service to honor his life will be held at St. Paul Catholic Church on Dale Mabry on June 7th at 2 pm, followed by a gathering with light refreshments at his home. In celebrating Richard's life, we find solace in the memories of his unwavering love and care for his family.
