Richard Earl Sanbury

Richard was born to Chester LaRue and Elizabeth Lucille Cross Sanbury on March 1, 1956. He went to school in Tampa, FL. He married Dorothy Ann Vessa on September 13, 1975 and divorced November 21, 1977 in Tampa. He finished his Junior year at Chamberlain High School. He worked as a groundskeeper for University of South Florida and later worked as a security officer for many places until he became disabled. He served in the reserves.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents Chester (1971), Elizabeth (1998) and two brothers Charles William Sanbury (2010) and David LaRue Sanbury (2012).

Rick is survived by a sister Mary Lee Sanbury Hinsdale (Bryan Hinsdale) of Severna Park, MD; three nieces, Heather Allen (Steve Allen), Cynthia Hinsdale, and Kristen Fuller (Brian Fuller); one nephew, Todd Sanbury (Cindy Sanbury); and a great-niece, Braelyn Fuller.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Monday, July 28, 2025 at Blount & Curry Funeral Home at Garden of Memories 4207 Lake Ave Tampa, FL with Pastor Charlie Lewis from Trinity Presbyterian Church Tampa, FL officiating. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery Tampa, FL. Arrangements are by Blount & Curry Funeral Home at Garden of Memories.
