It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert William Bielitz; a devoted husband, loving father, cherished son, and dear friend. He left us far too soon at the age of 39, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, and love.
Born December 15, 1984 in Long Island, New York, Rob brought joy and warmth into the lives of all who knew him. He was a beacon of light, always ready with a smile, a joke, or a helping hand. His boundless compassion and unwavering support touched the lives of many.
Robert earned his bachelor's degree in Psychology from Stony Brook University, where his passion for understanding and helping others blossomed. He then went on to obtain his Master's degree in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from The University of South Florida, furthering his knowledge and expertise in the field he loved.
As a dedicated therapist, Rob touched countless hearts, guiding others with his wisdom, empathy, and patience. He spent much of his career working with displaced youth in foster care before finally going into private practice. His passion for helping others was evident in everything he did, making a positive impact on so many lives.
Beyond his professional achievements, Rob was a devoted family man. He adored his wife Sam, his best friend and soulmate, with whom he shared countless adventures and cherished moments over the span of their 18-year relationship. Their love was a source of inspiration to all who knew them.
As a father, Rob was exemplary. He showered his young son, Logan, with love, laughter, and guidance, instilling in him the values of kindness, curiosity, and resilience. His presence in his son's life was a gift beyond measure.
In his spare time, Rob enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his family, playing guitar, diving into video games, immersing himself in comics, and exploring the world of 3D printing. He was a true enthusiast, finding joy in creating and learning.
Rob also had a knack for letting loose and having a great time with friends over drinks. His infectious laughter and lively spirit made every gathering memorable, filling the room with warmth and camaraderie.
Robert was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend. His infectious laughter, nerdy interests, and compassionate nature endeared him to all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by his family, friends, colleagues, and all whose lives he touched.
A celebration of Rob's life will be held on April 17th at 7pm. Family will begin to receive friends at 4pm. Please join us in honoring and remembering a remarkable man who left an indelible mark on the world.
Forever in our hearts, Robert William Bielitz will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
