Robert "Bob" L. Karshner, Jr.

Karshner Jr., Robert L. “Bob” 75, passed away on May 24, 2015. He was preceded in death by his brother “Johnny” Myers, and grandson, Mark Sczczesniak. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Judy, daughter Danielle “Dani” Mann (Mark), brother Jack Karshner (Shirley), brother Joe Myers (Margaret “Maggie”), brother Davey Karshner (Linda), sister Helen Purcell (Jeff), sister Ruth Hollinhead (Wayne), sister Roberta “Birdie” Morse, step-children Debbie Natale, Karen Durnell, Terri Starczeski, Doug Vrotny, and grandsons Mike Szczesniak, Cole Wengert, Cody Wengert, and Logan Starczeski, and special friends Vince and Lisea Julien and Bob and Cheryl White. Bob was an entrepreneur and so much more. He retired from Shapes Fitness after 30 years and was the company’s co-founder and co-owner. He stayed active in the fitness industry for many years following his retirement. He was loved and respected by numerous individuals who worked for and with him, as well as family and friends. Bob enjoyed spending time with his family, sometimes singing and playing the guitar. He also had a deep love of horses. He had many friends and was known to be very compassionate and giving. Bob was an excellent husband and father, not only to his biological daughter, but also the father that his step-children never had. Friends can come to share in celebrating his life together on Friday, May 29th, 5pm – 6pm visitation, with a service at 6pm at Blount and Curry Funeral Home Carrollwood Chapel at 3207 W. Bearss Ave., Tampa, Florida 33618.
