

Robert (Bob) Leo Finlon, Jr., passed away on October 5, 2017, after braving a long illness that left him confined to home and bed. Bob was born January 22, 1944, in Carbondale, PA, to Mary Evelyn and Robert Leo Finlon, Sr. Bob was the eldest of five siblings in a U.S. Air Force family and lived in numberous states throughout his childhood. After graduating from Chamberlain High School in Tampa, Bob served two years in the U.S. Air Force and graduated from USF with a degree in Business Administration. Bob lived the last 18 years of life in Tampa with his much loved wife, Alice (nee Livingston). He was an avid computer enthusiast and life-long Gator fan. In addition to his devoted wife, Alice, Bob is survived by his son, James Finlon, daughters, Nina Hunter (Bill), and Julie Holtscher; sisters Delores Jeffers (Charles Mahan), Marie Walker (Lew), Polly Hale (Forrest), and brother, Ken Finlon (Anne), mother-in-law, Frances Livingston, step-children, Tracey Hector (Kevin), Chuck Burnite (Stacey), twelve grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Bob's sisters and brother will be eternally grateful for the loving care Bob received from Alice and her family. Funeral services on Tuesday, October 10, 2017, to be held at Blount & Curry Funeral Home at Garden of Memories in Tampa will include a viewing at 11:00 am, a service at noon, and a brief graveside ceremony. If desired, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association at diabetes.org in lieu of flowers.
