Robert is survived by his four children: Mark Heddaeus, Craig Heddaeus, Paige Heddaeus Field and Lynn Heddaeus. He also leaves behind four grandchildren and one great grandson: Jillian Heddaeus, Brittany Field Mahler, Matt Heddaeus, Jack Heddaeus and Dawson Mahler. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother William Heddaeus, twin sister Peggy Domenech and his wife of 61 years, Jean Carson Heddaeus.
Robert is a World War II veteran and Purple Heart recipient. He was born on July 31, 1925 in Pittsburgh, PA the son of Gilbert and Mildred Heddaeus. He married Jean Carson on February 19. 1949 after moving overseas to the Panama Canal Zone where his father was stationed with the U.S, Army.
He worked as a Budget Analyst for U.S. Air Force in Panama, C.Z. for 36 years. He was an avid car buff and he especially enjoyed restoring old Ford Mustangs.
Robert will be laid to rest along with his wife Jean in Arlington National Cemetery.
