After graduating from Tampa Catholic High School, Bob joined the FBI and moved to Washington, D.C. He returned to Tampa to care for his family and joined the Tampa Police Department, where he worked as a detective until he was injured in the line of duty. He then worked in construction and as a private investigator before returning to public service with the Hillsborough County Consumer Protection Agency.
It was Bob's work ethic, generosity, and dedication to protecting the public that shaped his career, but his family was always his priority. He was a loving father and brother who steadfastly supported his family and brought his sense of humor to even the most difficult times.
His parents, Robert and Kathleen, and his sister Kathy preceded him in death. He is survived by his children, Jack, Jena, and Luke; their mother, Sue; and his sister, Mary.
A service for Bob will be planned for a later date, the details of which will be posted here.
