

Roger Wood was a devoted husband, loving father, cherished grandfather, and loyal brother. He was well-respected and beloved by many. At the age of 73, he passed away, leaving behind a legacy of love, integrity, and dedication.
Born in Independence, Missouri, Roger pursued his education with great passion. He attended Northwestern University on a swimming scholarship, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. A gifted athlete, he was recognized as an All-American swimmer in both high school and college. He later obtained his law degree from John Marshall Law School in Chicago, setting the foundation for a distinguished legal career.
Roger began his career as a prosecutor in Colorado before joining the FDIC, where he worked in both Orlando and Atlanta. He eventually moved to Tallahassee, where he served at the Department of Transportation. Known for his exceptional work ethic and sharp legal mind, he was well-liked and respected by his colleagues.
Those who knew Roger will remember his intensity, passion, and unwavering loyalty. He had a deep love for his family and enjoyed history, law, and spirited debates. He found joy in playing video games, traveling, and spending time with his family, always supporting them in their pursuits.
Roger is now reunited in heaven with his beloved parents, Phyllis and Ralph Wood. He is survived by his devoted wife, Hope; his daughters, Sara and Katy; his sons-in-law, Chris and Patrick; and his treasured grandchildren, Clark (4), Logan (10), Ellie (4), and Theo (1). He also leaves behind his siblings, Rebbie, Shannon, and Ted.
Roger's legacy of love, wisdom, and dedication will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
A celebration of life will take place at 11am on Saturday, March 22nd at Blount and Curry Carrollwood located at 3207 W. Bearss AVe. Tampa, FL. 33618 with the family receiving friends from 10:30 AM until the time of the service.
