

He was a proud American who honorably served abroad in the United States Navy. He graduated from Taft High School and the City College of New York.
As a youngster, Ronnie enjoyed many happy hours hitchhiking with his friends to lakes in upstate New York where he first began his favorite hobby: fishing. He remained an avid fisherman until late in retirement from IBM after thirty-five years, where he was a dedicated and valued employee.
Ronnie was also an avid reader who enjoyed many happy hours in local libraries where he immersed himself in great literature and world history. He would read several newspapers each day, always keeping up with the latest local, national, and international news.
Ronnie is survived by his wife of sixty years, Kathleen Elliott Amritt, and they were blessed with two children: Andrea and Thomas. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, his sister, his niece, his brother, and his nephews. He was blessed with a large, dedicated extended family and childhood friends who remained loyal over the years.
A funeral service for Ronald will be held Tuesday, March 4, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at External St. Marks Episcopal Church, 13312 Cain Rd, Tampa, FL 33625.
