Ronald Allen Partin, 82 of Tampa passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2020 at Palms of Pasadena Hospital in St. Petersburg. Ronald was born on May 26th 1939 in Kentucky to the late Charles Partin and Bessie Partin. He married Mary (nee Beckett) Partin on April 24th 1981; they just recently celebrated 39 years of marriage this last April.

Ronald held several blue collar jobs over his long working career to provide for his family. He spent the majority of his lifetime working hard and serving the Lord even harder. He was a member of Faith Independent Missionary Baptist Church where he spent 30+ years leading the church's choir and teaching the adult Sunday school class. He was the last remaining charter member of the original founders of the church. Ronald, along with his late wife, Mary, traveled around to different churches sharing the gospel of Jesus through song. Their first gospel group was named the Homeland Gospel Singers and the second ensemble was called The Heavenly Heirs (that included their daughter, Janice and granddaughter, Naomi.) Ronald also served as a preacher of God. He reverently served wherever possible and needed. His family would like all to know that he genuinely was the kindest, gentlest and even sometimes silly, man.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Reverend Charles and Bessie Partin; wife, Mary Louise; daughter, Patty; four sisters, Hazel, Mildred Mary and Loretta ; brother, Otis; and great-grandson, Liam Meadows. He is survived by his daughter, Janice Green; two grandchildren, Naomi Meadows, Joshua McWilliams; and one great-grandchild, Alyssa Meadows. Ronald also leaves behind a close family of in-laws and a special church family.

A funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, September 19, 2020 at Blount & Curry Funeral Home at Garden of Memories, Tampa, Florida. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1-3 p.m. at the funeral home.
