Rosa Emelina Valdes

Rosa was born on May 7, 1942 in Los Palos, Havana, Cuba, to parents Clemente Perez and

Maria Mercedes Migenes. On May 10, 1963 she was united in matrimony to Nestor Alberto

Valdés Martinez. This union was blessed with her daughter Gina. Nestor preceded her in death

on July 22, 2017.

She worked for more than fifteen years at La Quinta. She loved to live in Tampa where she

retired. She enjoyed listening to music, dancing and attending all family gatherings, going to

the club at La Colonia. Also, to spend time at Treasure Island beach with her family. Rosa is

survived by her daughter Gina and son in law Chris. Also her siblings in Cuba Luis and Maria

Elena Perez Migenes.

Her stepdaughter Dulce Maria Valdés and Grandson Erick Carvajal. Also her grandchildren:

Sergio Daniel Diaz, Jaime III, Alyssa, and Julissa Saenz and her many nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clemente Perez and Maria Mercedes Migenes

and her siblings Osvaldo, Aracelis, Machachi, Magalis, Gladys, and Reynaldo.

She had a special bond with her sisters-in-law Coty and Cecy. Hildegard, Mercy and

Cary preceded her in death.

Rosa was a devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, sister-in-law, mother-in law

and friend. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her family:. Gina wishes to thank all

the family for their support during her challenging times. Special thanks to Hildy and Ivonne.

A visitation is scheduled for Rosa on Sunday January 14, 2024 at Blount & Curry Funeral

Home, 4207 East Lake Ave, Tampa, Fl 33610 from 10:00a.m to 12:00p.m. Burial will be on

January 14, 2024 at 1:00p.m at Gardens of Memory.
