Rose Mary Zambito Barreto passed away on March 29, 2021, after battling Alzheimers disease for over 10 years. Rose was preceded in death by her parents, Ciro and Rosina Zambito; sister, Catherine Zambito Peterson.
Rose graduated from Our Lady of Perpetual Help Academy, with her husband, Ruben. She was the love of his life. They were friends from from grade school though high school.
Rose was a master of all she set her mind to. Rose excelled in all challenges. She was proficient as a typist and was a master at shorthand. Her typing skills led her to the University of South Florida Medical Clinic. She moved on Admissions Intake, helping worried patients and guiding them to their correct doctor for treatment.
Rose's passion was her family, which includes her husband, Ruben; four daughters, Tina, Eileen, Celia, Michelle; and grandson, Nicholas (Ruby).
A celebration of life will be held 10 a.m-12 p.m. Friday, April 16 2021 at Blount & Curry Funeral Home at Garden of Memories. Due to COVID-19, we understand that some will be unable to attend. But all who want to pay their respects, are welcome.
