Granny passed away on August 24, 2026, on her 95th birthday.
Granny will be remembered for the happiness and laughter she brought to those around her. She had a way of bringing joy into a room simply by being herself. Many who knew and loved her were greeted with her familiar, “Hey, trouble!” — a simple little saying that became so much a part of Granny that our family will forever be able to hear it in her voice.
Granny loved her old Westerns, and when they were on, everyone knew it because the TV was usually turned up loud enough for the whole house to hear.
What once was just a familiar background sound, is now something we would give anything to hear again.
Her smile, her silliness, her strength, and her happy spirit created memories that our family will carry with us forever.
It was hard to find her mad about much of anything. Unless, of course, she couldn’t have her milkshake!
To have loved her for so many years was a gift, and saying goodbye leaves an emptiness that words could never fully explain.
Although her time here has come to an end, the love she gave will remain. She will live on through the family she helped shape, the memories we continue to share, and all the little pieces of her that each of us will carry through life.
We will miss her smile, her laughter, her voice, and simply knowing she was there. Life will not be quite the same without Granny in it, but we will forever be grateful that we were lucky enough to call her ours.
