

FRICK, Ruth Emaline F., 95, of Tampa, passed away peacefully, on Wednesday, July 27th, 2016 at St. Joseph’s Hospital North surrounded by her loving family. She was born at home on October 7, 1920 in the small town of Putneyville, PA., to the late John M. and Anna E. (Slagle) Farster. She graduated from Vandergrift HS in 1939 and went to work in NY City for the Army Corps of Engineers. After getting married and moving to Florida she worked for Pratt & Whitney Aircraft. They lived in the North Palm Beach area for 40 years before relocating to Tampa in 1995. Ruth was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Richard L. Frick. She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Trigg, grandson, Bernard F. Grall, III and wife, Archana; two great-grandsons, Sean M. Grall and Ethan P. Grall; step great-grandson, Vedant Agarwal; beloved niece, Sandra Frick and husband, Dave and the late Susan L. Frick, both of Sarasota and cousin, Jack Starr and his wife, Sally of New Kensington, PA. She was a strong, beautiful mom, wife and grandmother. She will be missed greatly by her extended family and friends who helped us celebrate her 95th birthday last year. Ruthie was a past president of Beta Sigma Phi, a member of Carrollwood Country Club and Lake Magdalene UMC. There will be a visitation on Monday, August 1 from 2-3 pm at Lake Magdalene UMC with a funeral service to follow at 3 pm. Interment will take place the following day in West Palm Beach at Royal Palm Memorial Gardens.
