Sam was preceded in death by his wife Mary I. Collura and July 28th marked their 75th wedding anniversary. He is survived by his children, daughter Linda Smith (Ron), son Samuel J. Collura Jr. (Nancy) four grandchildren Ryan, Kalisha, Jason of Cleveland, Kaleigh, seven great grandchildren Jake, Maddie, Rocco, Dima, Sophia, Carmen, Koalah, and a sister Mary Guggino.
Sam graduated Hillsborough High School, then served in the Army Air Corps in the Pacific during WWII and was a proud veteran. He was an agricultural inspector and retired from the State of Florida in 1986. He loved to spend time with his family, was an avid outside guy spending time in his yard and was a master at fixing things. He and Mary loved to spend time together, traveling to Alaska and Hawaii, and they spent many happy years at property on Indian Rocks beach enjoying weekends and holidays with family and friends.

Relatives and family are invited to attend Visitation on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at 1:00p.m. at Garden of Memories Funeral Home with his service at 2p.m., Interment will immediately follow. There will be a Celebration of Life gathering at Garden of Memories after the Service and all are invited to attend. Funeral arrangements by Garden of Memories located at 4207 E.
