Sarah Claudette Cigarran was born in Rockford, Illinois on December 27, 1938 to Joe and Mary Reynolds. Claudette was the last of eight children. She is predeceased by her parents, Joseph Howard Reynolds and Mary Belle Satterfield Reynolds: her siblings, Mary Jo Kline, Taylor Reynolds and Charlene West. She is survived by her siblings: Millie Boyce (Kenny), Libby Lindstrom, Russell Reynolds and Jane Peyton.
Claudette married Jerry Cigarran on June 12, 1958 and had three children; Mary Rosenda Zarate (Rene); Stephenie Michelle Alfano (David), and Jerry Paul Cigarran (Cindy Sue). She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She worked for 20 years at USF Medical Clinic in the radiology department. Upon retirement, she enjoyed reading, exercise, swimming and traveling. She gave much of her time volunteering with underprivileged children.
Claudie had an enduring love for her 6 beautiful grandchildren, Sarah Meghan Zarate, Aaron Kristian Zarate, Gerald Paul Cigarran, Christopher Eric Cigarran, Gaetano Andrew Alfano, and Lauren Ashley Arnold. She had one beautiful great grandchild, Emma Jane Arnold. They were the absolute joy of her life and she was involved in all areas of their lives and wanted nothing more than to spend time with them and love them.
Services for Claudette will be held Friday, March 29, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. Friends will be received beginning at 10:00 a.m. with a Mass then beginning at 11:00. In lieu of flowers, the family appreciates any donations to be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
