Sharon Smith Sloan

She obtained an associate's degree from Miami Dade Jr. College in Miami and a 2-year degree in Tampa to obtain her RN nursing license. She spent her nursing career in the Hospital, Home Health,

Health Department and School Nursing. School nursing was her first love. She loved the kids and worked closely with the handicapped children. She felt she had a special connection to them.

She retired from nursing in 2012. After retirement, she continued to help family and friends with their medical questions and needs. She was always caring, concerned, loving, and compassionate.

She loved staying at home and working on various projects. She loved working with her flowers and had a special love for orchids. She was involved in many ways with work at the church we attended.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, a sister, 2 children, 5 grandchildren, and a wonderful church family.

Also, we want to thank all of the caregivers with a special thanks for the care she received at Melech Hospice House.

There will be a celebration of life on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at 7:00 pm at Citrus Park Church of Christ, located at 5105 Ehrlich Rd, Tampa, FL 33624.
