Shelly was called home on September 2, 2024. She was preceded by her father Ulysses Bradford, Mother Mary Braford and brother Marvin Bradford. She leaves behind brothers Allen and Carl, sisters-in-law Toni, Julie and Vadia; a host of nieces, nephews and beloved friends.
Shelly was born on December 29, 1956 and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, graduated from Simon Gratz High School and went on to get bachelor and master degrees in Education from Cheyney University of Pennsylvania.
She moved to Texas to begin a career in teaching special education and become Principal over the schools she administrated. Shelly had no children of her own but spent a lifetime guiding and loving her students. She retired from the Dallas School District with honors.
Shelly was a beautiful, uniquely intelligent woman, filled with wisdom and compassion. She also possessed a warped sense of humor. She was one of a kind and will forever be missed by those who were lucky enough to know and love her.
