Steven is survived by his loving wife, Susan Bartlett, of 48 years. They were married on July 15, 1972.
Steven is also lovingly remembered by his daughter, Lori Renee Riehl and her husband, Christopher Riehl of Lahaina, HI. Also, sister-in-law Joan and husband Paul Santoro of Tucson, AZ; nephew Michael and wife Holly along with nephew Nicholas and wife Molly Santoro of Edwardsville, IL; and step-brother, John Bartlett.
Steven was born in Alton, IL on July 19, 1949 to Harlan E. Bartlett and Mary Frances Bartlett. He graduated from Edwardsville Senior High School in 1967. After high school, he went to college at Southern Illinois University for 2 years and later moved to Tampa, FL in 1985. In Tampa, he worked at Tropical Garment as a Distribution Manager.
Steven enjoyed spending time with his family and friends at the beach. He was an animal lover spoiling his dogs and cats. Weekends were for Harley motorcycle rides for breakfast or watching football games. He had a green thumb and could often be found re-cutting his already perfectly manicured lawn. His cars were always spotless and he would shine your tires without you even asking. He had a sharp sense of humor, loved to laugh and enjoyed talking to every genuine soul he met. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family and all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at Blount and Curry Funeral Home, Carrollwood Chapel. Visitation will be held at the same location at 10 a.m. prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, we are asking for donations in Steven’s name to the Humane Society of Tampa Bay or Seasons Hospice Foundation.
