Brooks, Steven A, 63, passed away on July 19, 2015. He is survived by his son, Matthew S. Brooks; mother, Dorothy I. Brooks and brother, Timothy A. Brooks. He was the son of Vernon E. Brooks and brother of Joel E. Brooks, both deceased. A Tampa native, he graduated from Chamberlain High School and shortly, thereafter, joined the United States Navy; his father was also a naval veteran both of whom were honorably discharged. He was a surveyor by trade and had also been an employee of Swiftmud. He recently returned to Tampa after having lived in Archer, FL. for approximately the past five years. A Memorial Service will be held at Blount & Curry Funeral Home Carrollwood Chapel, 3207 W. Bearss Ave, Tampa, FL 33618 on Saturday, August 1st, at 11:00AM.
