Suzanne J Miller

Suzanne J. Miller passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 14, 2026, at her home in Tampa, Florida, at the age of 83. She lived a life defined by determination, strength, and unwavering love for her family.

Born on November 4, 1942, in Portland, Oregon, Suzanne was the daughter of Pierre and Margaret Dasse. She earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Oregon, a school she remained fiercely proud of throughout her life. She was a devoted Oregon fan and never missed an opportunity to cheer on her beloved Ducks.

Following college, Suzanne enjoyed a long and successful career in the banking industry, where she was respected for her professionalism, dedication, and integrity.

Beyond her career, Suzanne found joy in the people and experiences that made life meaningful. She had a deep appreciation for Southwestern art and culture, and her home reflected her love for its beauty and character. She treasured spending time with her children—taking dance lessons with her daughter Michele and kicking a soccer ball around the yard with her son Tony. She also had an adventuresome side, including a stint on a woman’s ice hockey team when she was a young mom living in Philadelphia. A person of strong opinions, those who knew her, knew she simply did not like the color purple.

To her husband, Michael, she was lovingly known as "Red." To her grandchildren, she was simply "Gigi.” Suzanne and Michael shared more than 50 wonderful years of marriage before his passing in 2019. She missed him every day and carried his memory in her heart until they were reunited. Later in life, she found great joy traveling with her brother David and his wife Annie. The Three Amigos tore through all points west… on Suzi’s supped up scooter!

Suzanne was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Michael Miller, and her parents, Pierre and Margaret Dasse.

She is survived by her brother, David Dasse and his wife, Annie; her son, Tony Miller and his wife, Estela; her daughter, Michele Miller Glatt; and her cherished grandchildren, Gabi, Mitchell, and Ava, all of whom were the greatest joys of her later years.

Suzanne will be remembered for her strong spirit, fierce independence, and her steadfast love of family. Her legacy lives on in the lives she shaped, the memories she created, and the love she gave so freely. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
