OLIVA, Sylvia, 70, A life long resident of Tampa passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard “Honey” Gonzalez and Zoraida “Memo” Gonzalez. Sylvia is survived by her daughter, Dena Laurain (Andy Wardrop); son, Frank Oliva (Jac Thompson); grandchildren, Danille Oliva, Amber Oliva, Jenny Oliva, Soleil Oliva, Drew Wardrop; brothers, Leonard “Cookie” Gonzalez , Richard “Dickie” Gonzalez; sister-in-laws, Linda Gonzalez, Sandy Gonzalez; along with many nieces and nephews. She was a loving mother, adoring grandmother and devoted friend. She loved spending time with her family, especially spoiling her grandchildren whom she dearly cherished. She was a very dedicated employee of Southern Wine and Spirits for the past 38 years. She would always take the time to point people in the right direction and did so with a smile. Sylvia had a heart of gold and will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her. A gathering will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2014 from 10-11am, with a memorial service immediately following at the Blount & Curry Funeral Home-Carrollwood Chapel, 3207 W. Bearss Avenue, Tampa, FL. Arrangements under the direction of Blount & Curry FH-Carrollwood, TAMPA, FL.
