Ted, aka Pop, Papa, Big No, and Popsicle was born on March 18, 1940 to Theodore Sr. and Betty. He attended Hillsborough High School, graduating in 1958. After graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Army/National Guard and was honorably discharged 7 years later in 1965. While in the National Guard, he attended the University of Tampa, graduating in 1963 with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration.
He met the love of his life Glenda at Hillsborough High at the annual Terrier Bark dance. She literally tripped over his feet and they were married on June 17, 1961.
He worked @ Exchange Bank in Tampa, then started Air Freight/Air Cargo with his father. He later sold his business and went to work for Heyl Truck Lines for 20 years as the Southeast Regional Manager, retiring at the age of 75.
His pride and joy was his 4 kids, 7 grandkids, 4 bonus grandkids, and 3 great grandkids (with 1 on the way).
He loved vacationing with his family, especially camping at Fort Wilderness Campground @ Walt Disney World and staying in Black Rock Mountain North Georgia, and Maggie Valley, NC. He loved cooking and grilling and some of his favorite dishes were filet salteado, creamed corn, brussel sprouts with mayonnaise, and pork spareribs and sauerkraut.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Theodore and Betty, and his sisters Ann Sproull and Ellen Sauls. He is survived by his wife Glenda, aka Honey Melch, 4 children, Charlene (Stephen) Stapp, Suzanne (David) Hatfield, Ted III (Dolores), Kimberly (Jerome) Hodges; 7 grandchildren, Shelby, Samantha, Zachary, Taylor, Rebecca, Hannah and Madison; 4 bonus grandchildren - Taylor, Zach, Carol and Amanda, 3 great-grandchildren Preston, Liam, Aurora, and 1 on the way, Brooks.
He was a friend to all who met him and had the biggest heart. He would do anything for his family, and he did! He was loved by many and will be greatly missed. His favorite saying was "Love you More", and he certainly did!
