Aunt Trillis may be the most positive, cheerful person that I have ever known.  She always would try to find the good side of a person and the humor in a situation, whatever the circumstances. It was a joy to be in her presence, and I always looked forward to it. She also was a wonderful peer, friend, and sister-in-law to my mother, for which I am grateful. My condolences to Francine, Richard, Terri, and Leslie on the loss of their mom, bless her soul, and to their spouses, children, and grandchildren.

My mom loved fishing for lots of things: laughs, simple finds in nature or in people, and for fish salt water or fresh she'd drop her line. She was an accomplished seamstress, but I don't think it was the love of sewing that drove her to work. She left far too much fabric for that to be why. I think it was in knowing that each stich brought her closer to meeting a need for someone she loved. A purse, a blanket, a tux, costumes, drapes and baby clothes she could do it all. Mom pointed out the marvels of nature to the young and enjoyed sharing the stories with the old. She was the kind of woman that cheered for us, even when we weren't looking, and encouraged us when we were. She chastised as warranted and comforted when needed. It's no secret that she treasured the young. Even Jesus said we must come to God as a child with open hearts, eyes and minds. 
Mom always had an affinity for the boys in the family they were so greatly outnumbered. I only hope they know what great pleasure they gave her, as did all her children great grands, grands and her own.

 Mom was not a bible thumper but taught us "you can go to hell for lying the same as you can for stealing" and it was the gospels that brought her great comfort to the very end. If we live on following in her example her legacy will survive.
We all have special memories of this woman we love, her ability to find beauty, grace, and treasures must have come from Heaven above.

I only had the priviledge of meeting this wonderful lady once.  My husband and I met her and Leslie for lunch. What an inspiration this woman is. I count it a blessing that I was able to meet her and finally ask if I could call her  'mom' after all of these years.
Rest in peace my friend. See you again one day!

Aunt Trillis was always kind to me.  I can remember being at her house on several occasions as a kid.  I will always remember that she made us peanut butter and syrup sandwiches!  She seemed to always have a smile on her face.  I'm thankful for the times she helped with my Mom.  I know that her family was very important to her.  She will be missed.  Rest in peace.  Prayers for Francene, Gene, Terri, Leslie and your families.
