Venus was born December 20th, 1920 in McAlester, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Burnett Sr, her son Charles Burnett Jr, and 8 siblings. She is survived by 5 daughters, 8 grandchildren, 1 great grandson, a daughter-in-law, a step sister and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Venus attended Douglas High School in High Springs, Florida. She graduated as valedictorian of her small class.
She grew up loving God's Word. She was happy to learn that God has a personal name, Jehovah. (Psalm 83:18). She was happy to find out that one day all causes for suffering and sorrow, all injustice would end under kingdom rule by Christ Jesus. (Revelation 21:3-5). This good news she wanted to share with all. She was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in July of 1946.
The family will receive friends for Services on March 11, 2023 at 2 PM at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 9060 Westwind Drive, Tampa, FL 33626.
The family kindly requests that anyone having cold, flu-like, or COVID-like symptoms, please refrain from attending the in-person memorial on March 11, 2023.
