Tex proudly served his country as a United States Marine, carrying the values of honor, loyalty, and commitment throughout his life. Once a Marine, always a Marine, and Tex carried that pride wherever he went.
After his military service, Tex built a remarkable 30-year career in automobile sales and became a Grand Master Salesman for Ford before retiring 20 years ago. He had a natural gift for working with people. Tex knew that being a great salesman was more about earning someone’s trust, building relationships, and treating people with respect than selling a vehicle. Customers became friends, and his personality and determination made him someone people remembered.
Those who knew Tex will fondly recall his strength, humor, determination, stories, and unmistakable personality. His strong faith in God brought him peace and comfort in his later years.
Tex was preceded in death by his mother, Louise; father, Gordon; brother, Stevie. He is lovingly survived by his brother David and Jo (wife); daughters, Denise and Clarissa and their mother Teresa; granddaughters, Ashley and Brittney; five great-grandchildren; nieces Michelle, Leah and Lisa; and nephew Randy.
Tex will be remembered as a proud Marine, a gifted salesman, and most importantly, a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

On August 28th, 2026, a Visitation will start at 10:00 AM at Blount and Curry Carrollwood Funeral Home, 3207 W Bearss Ave, Tampa, FL. 33618, with a Funeral Service to start at 11:00 AM. Following the service, Military Honors will be presented at the committal service at 1:00 PM at Hillsboro Memorial Gardens, 2323 W Brandon Blvd, Brandon, FL 33511. A reception after the committal service will begin at 2:00 PM at Blount and Curry Carrollwood, 3207 W Bearss Ave, Tampa, FL. 33618.
