Vincent, known lovingly as Vinny, was born on January 1, 1946, to Arthur and Rose (Fischett) Bethell. He grew up in Queens, New York, and later lived on Long Island, where he proudly worked as a Patrolman in the Suffolk County Police Department. Vinny was also a dedicated volunteer at the West Babylon Fire Department, along with the North Lindenhurst Fire Department, where he served as captain of Hook & Ladder Engine Company 3.
Vinny was an avid sports fan and a devoted supporter of the Dallas Cowboys. Some of his happiest moments were spent around the card table with friends, enjoying the laughter and camaraderie of their regular games. He also loved taking cruise vacations and relaxing with his favorite Tampa Cuban cigars.
Vinny is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Diane (Finn); his cherished daughter, Shannon Rose his adored sister, Babe Kozlowski and his brother-in-law, Eddie. He is also survived by his nephew Edward and his wife Dianna, and his great-nephew Nolan. Vinny leaves behind beloved cousins JoAnn and her husband Joe Germano, as well as his brother-in-law Joseph Finn and his wife Maddy, and his many nieces, nephews and God-children.
Vinny’s love for his family was greater than words can express, and he was deeply grateful for the many friends in his life who became like family to him.
