Vincenzo Bentivegna

Born on May 11, 1935, in York, Pennsylvania, to Leonardo and Leonarda (Granata) Bentivegna, Vince was the youngest of four brothers. From an early age, he embodied the values of hard work, humility, and service that would define his life.

Proudly serving his country as an Airman First Class in the United States Air Force, Vince carried his love of America throughout his life. After completing his military service, he attended the University of South Florida and the University of Tampa, where he earned his bachelor's degree. He began his career while attending college, working as a U.S. Mail Carrier and at Sears Roebuck. He later dedicated many years to the State of Florida as a Parole and Probation Officer, eventually retiring as a respected supervisor after a distinguished career in public service.

Of all his accomplishments, Vince's greatest joy was his family. He cherished every moment spent with his beloved wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was happiest when surrounded by those he loved, sharing stories, laughter, and creating memories that will be treasured for generations. Known for his frugal spirit and playful determination to find the best bargains, one of his favorite pastimes was clipping coupons and searching for "red tag" sales at stores throughout the area. His family will forever smile when remembering his excitement over a great deal.

Vince was preceded in death by his parents; his three brothers, Jack, Charles, and Steve; his beloved wife of 69 years, Nina; his son, Jack; his grandson, Jimmie Jr.; and his granddaughter, Aubrey.

He is lovingly remembered by his son, Jimmie Bentivegna (fiancée Barbara Martinez and daughters Alyssa and Natalys); his daughter, Judy Corn (Robert); his grandchildren, Vincent Joseph "VJ" Bentivegna, Rian Bentivegna (Karlee), Dr. Natalie Bentivegna Lattanzio (Patrick), and Briana Bentivegna; his cherished great-grandchildren, Evangelina, Evan Jack, Vincenzo Bentivegna, and Nico Lattanzio; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives were enriched by his kindness and unwavering love.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Vince's life during a visitation on Friday, August 7, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. at Blount & Curry Funeral Home located at 3207 W Bearss Ave. Tampa, FL. 33618.

The family requests that memorial donations be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, an organization Vince deeply admired and proudly supported, as a tribute to his enduring patriotism and commitment to honoring those who serve our nation.

Though he is deeply missed, Vince's legacy of faith, family, service, and love of country will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
