A lifelong Tampa resident, Virginia was born in 1948. She was a 1966 Plant High School graduate and attended Montreat College in North Carolina. Virginia had a long, successful career with USAA and retired as a Lead Claims Litigator.
She was actively involved in numerous service clubs, including the Junior League of Tampa, Timuquanian Society and Tampa Gems Sertoma.
Virginia is survived by her brother: Charles Hansult (Celia) from Charlston, SC and 5 sons: Mark (Jessica) from St. Petersburg, Michael from Tampa, Chris (Erin) from Land O’ Lakes, Kirk (Stephanie) from Lakeland and Eric from Tampa. Virginia was “Oma” to 6 grandchildren: Christopher, Taylor, Tyler, Parker, Katelyn & Peyton. She was also very close with her Uncle Doug from Galveston, TX.
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 6, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Forest Hills Presbyterian Church, 709 W. Linebaugh Avenue, Tampa, 33612. (Masks are required). Celebration of Life will follow at The Johnson Residence at 13903 Seaforth Manor Way, Tampa 33613. (Masks optional). The service will be recorded and can be viewed on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 on the Forest Hills Presbyterian Church website at www.foresthillstampa.church.
