
The son of Eunice Huey Williams and Wallace Eugene Williams Sr. of Madison Florida, Gene grew up on farms in southern Georgia and North Florida, where he developed a lifelong love of the outdoors. He remained an avid outdoorsman throughout his life and had a particular passion for scuba diving and golf.
Gene was the beloved husband of Angie Williams for 55 years. Gene and Angie raised five children in Venice, Florida, before later moving to Parkland and then to Wesley Chapel. Gene was a devoted father to Wendy Seybold, Nancy Heise, Neal Williams, Steve Williams, and Paul Williams.
Gene was also the proud and beloved grandfather of 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Gene was especially active in the lives of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, offering his love, support, guidance, and presence throughout their lives.
Gene was preceded in death by his mother and father; his brothers, Jimmy and Billy Williams; and his beloved grandson, Joshua Williams.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
