Warner was born in Chicago, IL to Paul and Johanna Schmidt on December 20, 1934. He married Marie on April 25, 1980. Warner was the owner of Web Dryer Maintenance Service specializing in web offset dryers in the printing industry worldwide. He served briefly in the Air Force. He served as both as a Cub Scout and Boy Scout leader. Warner was an avid bowler, enjoyed the outdoors especially their place at Woodsmoke Campground, loved music and dancing.
Warner is preceded in death by his parents and his sister Edith McDonald.
Warner is survived by his wife Marie, his children Dean Schmidt, Mark Schmidt(Moira) Christie Fetzer(Mike) and stepsons Edward Barta(Sarah), David Barta(Marina), Curt Barta(Kim) and Bruce Barta(Jennifer). He is also survived by his brother Ralph Schmidt(Florence) and nieces Gail McDonald and Cyndi Murino(Fred), as well as, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends.
A celebration of Warner’s life will be held on a future date yet to be determined. Arrangements are by Blount and Curry Funeral Home in Carrollwood.
Memorials may be given to American Cancer Society. The family of Warner wishes to extend our sincere thanks to doctors and clinicians who provided medical care to Warner, as well as, his care givers Leni, LaToya and Martha.
