William Oscar Johnson Jr.

Affectionately known as “Billy Bones” by many, Bill was born in Tampa on June 10, 1943.

Billy is survived by his wife of 63 years, Deanna, their daughters, Denise Cirella of Tampa, Daneen Enwright (husband Keith) of Garner, NC, Grandchildren John A Cirella Jr “JC” (wife Beverly), and Julianne Cirella, Great-Grandson Christopher John Cirella, Brother in law Dennis Muniz (Janice), all of Tampa, and niece Wendy Eckerd in Ellijay GA, and many friends and caring neighbors.

He is pre-deceased by his parents William Sr and Lillian Johnson, sister Joyce Eckerd, and niece Janet Eckerd Renz.

Billy enjoyed doing things with and for his family and his friends. During the childhood of his Grandchildren, Billy and Deanna enjoyed boating and were in Leadership at the Tampa Cruis-A-Cade Club, and were also members of the Sherife Association, where they hosted and participated in many social gatherings with their many friends.

Always willing to lend a helping hand, a true Mac Guyver type of guy, lover of music, food, cars and anything to do with his Grandchildren, “Nanu” will be missed by all.

The family will receive friends, on Thursday, October 8, 2026 from 12:30pm - 1:00 pm at Blount & Curry Funeral Home @ Garden of Memories, 4207 East Lake Avenue, Tampa FL 33610, with funeral service to follow at 1:00pm at the funeral home. Entombment will be private.
