William Ronald “Ski” Kilichowski, a resident of Tampa, Florida, passed away Monday, February 11, at the Brookdale Senior Living Facility in North Tampa. He was preceded in death by Leona Collins-Kilichowski, his loving wife of 27 years, and his parents John Kilichowski and Otilliera Hergert Kilichowski. Also preceding him in death was his brother Raymond “Snooks” Kilichowski and sister Katherine “Kathy” Kilichowski-Sullivan. He is survived by two sons William S “Bill” Kilichowski (Debbie), Steven Lance Kilichowski, and two wonderful grandchildren William John and Alexa Diane Kilichowski. From a very large family, Ski also leaves behind brothers and sisters Robert “Bobby” Kilichowski (Patricia), Frederick “Freddy” Kilichowski (Janice), Ronald “Blubber” Kilichowski (Francine), Paula Kilichowski-Santoro (Tony), and Joanie Kilichowski-Piwinski. He also leaves behind brother-in-law Leonard “Lee” Collins (Lillian), ex-wives Kathy McCain and Yolanda Gonzalez, and many loving nieces and nephews.
Ski was born in Brooklyn, New York, and spent his life living between both Florida and New York. He served in the United States Marines Corps in the capacity of the Military Police. He later went onto have a successful career in sales for both Diebold and Singleton Seafood (ConAgra), where he served as National Sales Manager. Ski’s hobbies included boating and home renovations; but his passion was always for baseball, having played in the minor leagues with the New York Yankees organization.
Per Ski’s final wishes, he will be cremated and his family will celebrate his life in a private ceremony.
