A Tampa native, Gary graduated from Hillsborough High School in 1979 and from the University of South Florida in 1983 and furthered his education at the University of Florida where he earned his Bachelor of Pharmacy degree. Gary had an unmatched love for his Florida Gators football team.
He is survived by his loving partner, Jim DiGuido, his sister Debbie Payne (Tommy), brother-in-law Cecil Jackson Jr., his close, extended DiGuido family from the Chicago area, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Gary was also very proud of his many lifelong friends, far too many to mention.
He was predeceased by his parents William A. and Doris R. Simmons, his sister Beverly Jackson, and his special French Bulldog Sophia.
He was loved by all and will be truly missed.
