Everyone who knew Willie loved him. He was a hardworking man and a gentle soul. He was a jack-of-all-trades, master of none. He was always willing to help anyone in need.
He was born in Greenville, SC and served in the United States Air Force from September 12, 1956 - September 11, 1960.
He worked as an HVAC repairman for the City of Tampa for 25 years until his retirement on January 22, 1999. Of course, he never really stopped working and did landscaping work for family, friends, and colleagues for many more years.
We will all miss this amazing man terribly; but, we are at peace knowing that his suffering is over, and he is no longer in pain.
There will be a celebration of life at the Veterans Memorial Park at 3602 US-301 in Tampa at a future date that we will be sure to share with everyone. Thank you all for your love and support to Willie’s family during this difficult time.
