Wilson Silas Stephens, 87, born on 1-2-34 took the Glory Land Express to his new home on 9-5-2021. Standing on the platform waving good bye was Gena, his wife of 68 years, his children & their spouses, Terry & John Russell, Bruce Stephens, John & Alicia Stephens, Wally & Bonny Stephens, Sheri & Steve Furman, his 7 grandchildren, Nichole, Jamie, Matthew, Kevin, Kari, Emily & J.W. and his 5 great grandchildren, Alyssa, Kylie, Gwendolyn, Jonathan & Caroline. On his arrival Wilson was met by his
parents, grandparents & his 6 siblings. Wilson started work in 1952 on the ACL Railroad & retired 44 years later in 1996 from the CSX Railroad.
The Family will receive friends for a Visitation Thursday, September 9, 2021 between 1 and 2 p.m. at the Blount & Curry Funeral Home at Garden of Memories, 4207 E. Lake Ave., Tampa, FL. Services will begin at 2 p.m. at the funeral home, followed by an Entombment at the Garden of Memories Cemetery, 4202 E. Lake Ave., Tampa, FL.
