Attie Dillard Meissner

.Attie Marie “Toots” Meissner, 87 lifetime resident of Bartlett died Thursday March 30, 2006 in Will-O-Bell Nursing Home. Attie was born July 20, 1914 in Bartlett the daughter of Robert E. and Attie Sue (Dillard) Hensley. On January 10, 1947 she was joined in marriage to Oscar Meissner.

Attie Marie “Toots” worked as a cottage supervisor for residences of the Texas State School in Austin. She was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Bartlett.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years Oscar Meissner of Bartlett; daughter, Glenda Fry and husband Edward of Irving; two grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

She is preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Oscar Meissner, Jr. and Robert Thorton; daughter, Mary Sue Meissner; and brother, Robert F Hensley.

Visitation will be Sunday, April 2, 2006 from 5-7 PM at Goodnight Funeral Home in Bartlett.

Funeral will be Monday, April 3, 2006 at 2 PM at Goodnight Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Rosenblatt officiating. Burial will follow in Bartlett City Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Cleve Jones, John Voight, Tim Pavelka, Tommy Braum, Joseph Webber, and Glen Janke.

Goodnight Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
