Bernice was born May 30, 1926 in Rosenberg Texas. Soon after, she
and her parents, Anton Thomas Schmidt and Mary Magdalene (Kaderka) moved to Granger. She grew up in Granger and met her husband Frank Stanley Machacek. To this marriage came four children, Karen Marie, Cynthia Ann, Janet and Linda Kay.
Later the family moved to Georgetown where she continued to raise her family and worked in retail. Bernice enjoyed antiquing, collecting depression glass and beading. She especially enjoyed her many grandchildren and great-grand children.
Bernice is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Frank, and her daughter, Cynthia Ann Wuthrich.
She is survived by her daughters Karen and her husband Noel Luper, Janet Smith, Linda and her husband Bruce Motheral; twelve grand children and 21 great-grand children.
