Billie F. Kovar

Billie Faye Kovar passed away at the age of 81. She will be buried in the St. Mary's Cemetery on Thorndale Road in Taylor. She was born in EI Dorado, Arkansas and moved with her family to Thrall in 1946. She attended Thrall Schools and married her high school sweetheart, Billy Roy Kovar and remained happily married for 66 years. They had two lovely daughters that they loved dearly. They presented them with five wonderful grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She is survived by her loving husband Roy of 66 wonderful years together. They were devoted to each other as friends and lovers.

She is also survived by daughters, Karen McGuire Fain and husband J.D. and Martha Pourghoraishi ; and grandchildren, Larry Murray and wife Beth, Ashlie Lay and husband Anthony, Chance McGuire, Haley McGuire, Dominic Proby and wife Elyssa and great grandchildren Parker Murray, Ceren Proby, Hannah Lay, Gracie Lay, Gibson Murray and Ammil Proby. She is survived by one sister, Lazelle Brogger, one brother J.R. Westmoreland and wife Joyce along with many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Carol Cooley and Patricia Hays, brothers-in-law Tom Hays, Gerhardt Wuthrich, Otto Brogger, and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Mary Ann and Jack Dodd.

Billie worked for the Texas Education Agency for eleven years then worked with her husband, Roy for many years. After they retired Billie accomplished a lifelong dream (She graduated from Temple Jr. College as a LVN nurse.). She enjoyed working as a nurse for several years.

During her earlier years, she enjoyed square dancing, country western dancing and traveling.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Mary's Cemetery fund at 408 W. Ashburn St., Taylor, Texas 76574.

Visitation will be held Sunday May 28, 2017 from 6pm-8pm at Condra Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Monday May 29, 2017 at 10 am at Condra Funeral Home in Taylor. Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery on Thorndale Road in Taylor, Texas.
