Devin Daniel DeRusseau, of Manor, TX, passed away on Friday, October 2, 2020 at the age of 26. Devin was a son to Chris and Stephanie DeRusseau and was born on May 19, 1994 in Garden City, KS. He grew up as the second of four boys and attended Hutto High School in Hutto, TX. Devin was a spirited, high energy son that provided lots of laughs while growing up. Devin was exceptional in athletics and excelled in soccer, tennis, and karate. He earned his black belt in American karate at 15 years of age. Games and puzzles were always good outlets for his creative and brilliant mind. After high school, Devin began a career in the IT industry, earning several professional certifications. He worked systems support for the state of Texas.

Devin is survived by his parents, Chris and Stephanie DeRusseau of Florence TX; brothers, Ashten (Jaycie) DeRusseau and family of Mechanicsburg, PA, Christopher DeRusseau of Florence, TX, and Coleman DeRusseau of Florence, TX; grandparents, Dan and Louise DeRusseau of Cedar Creek, TX, and Terry Cork of Liberty Hill, TX; a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A funeral is scheduled for Sunday, October 18 @ 2:30pm (visitation) and 3:30pm (funeral service) at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 401 W 7th Street Taylor TX. Pastor George Qualley will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Devin’s life. In lieu of flowers we request donations be made to the Marine Corps-Law Enforcement Foundation ( in Devin’s name.
